Mia
I’m Mia, a visual artist and art tutor with over 18 years of experience helping people explore their creativity in meaningful, accessible ways. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how the simple act of making — whether through mark-making, painting, collage, or writing — can open up new paths to understanding, connection, and healing.
At Create and Thrive, I work in collaboration with a gifted poetry tutor to design workshops and courses that blend visual art with poetry and creative writing. Together, we create welcoming spaces where people can slow down, explore their inner worlds, and rediscover the joy of creative play — no prior experience needed.
We believe that creativity is not just an artistic skill — it’s a human necessity. It’s how we make sense of life, express what words alone cannot say, and reconnect with ourselves and others. Our sessions often revolve around themes like nature, memory, self-compassion, and resilience, using the creative process as a gentle, empowering tool for wellbeing.
